Egoland DJ Mix 54 Track List

Evolution by Robert Babicz

The mix kicks off with a bang as I introduce us to the hypnotic sounds of "Evolution" by Robert Babicz. Babicz, a German electronic music producer and live performer, that has been captivating audiences worldwide with his unique blend of techno and house. "Evolution" sets the stage for the sonic voyage that awaits us, drawing us in with its pulsating beats and ethereal melodies.

This track was born of an experiment featured on YouTube. On Alice Yalcin Efe’s Mercurial Tones Academy Channel, 4 producers were asked to flip one sample of Erik Satie’s Genosienne No. 1 and create a piece of music. The result from Robert Babicz is featured as the intro to my mix. Find the YouTube video on the development of the Robert Babicz track ‘Evolution’ here alongside other remixes by Mark Tarmonea, Lauren Mia and Biskuwi.

Fylgija Ear (Volen Sentir's Silent Scream) by Heilung

As the mix progresses, Dangerous Dougal seamlessly transitions into "Fylgija Ear (Volen Sentir's Silent Scream)" by Heilung. Heilung is a Danish experimental folk band known for their mystical and primal soundscapes. The remix by Volen Sentir adds a mesmerising touch, infusing the track with deep, atmospheric layers. It's a sublime combination that takes the mix to new heights breathing fresh fire on this track's Nordic soundscapes.
Volen Sentir can be found on Bandcamp here and Soundcloud here.

Be Here And Now by Tinlicker, Nathan Nickolson

Next up is "Be Here And Now" by Tinlicker and Nathan Nickolson. Tinlicker, a Dutch electronic music duo, has been making waves in the progressive house scene with their emotive and melodic productions. Teaming up with Nathan Nickolson, they create a sublime track that transports listeners to a place of pure bliss. Its infectious groove and poignant vocals make it a standout in the mix.

Encounters by Booka Shade, Yotto

Keeping the energy flowing we then head to "Encounters" by the legendary duo Booka Shade and Yotto. Booka Shade, a German electronic music duo, and Yotto, a Finnish DJ and producer, join forces to create a track that oozes sophistication and charm. "Encounters" weaves together intricate melodies and driving rhythms, showcasing the unique styles of both artists.

Insomnia 2021 by Faithless

No DJ mix would be complete without a classic, and I had to deliver just that with "Insomnia 2021" by Faithless. Faithless, a British electronic music group, rose to prominence in the late '90s and early 2000s with their iconic blend of house, trance, and trip-hop. The updated version of their timeless hit "Insomnia" breathes new life into the mix, reminding me of the enduring power of this electronic music classic.

Pale Blue Dot by Jiminy Hop, Bondarev

As the mix progresses, I guide you into deeper realms with "Pale Blue Dot" by Jiminy Hop and Bondarev. Jiminy Hop, an emerging talent in the progressive house scene, teams up with Bondarev to deliver a very deep track that captivates the mind and soul. "Pale Blue Dot" enchants listeners with its dreamy melodies, taking us on a cosmic journey through sound.

Lophorina by Romain Garcia

Romain Garcia makes his mark in the mix with "Lophorina." The French DJ and producer brings his unique style to the forefront, combining intricate percussion, mesmerising synths, and infectious rhythms. Sun In Your Eyes by Above & Beyond

Above & Beyond, the trance trio from the United Kingdom, takes centre stage with "Sun In Your Eyes." A recent favourite of mine, I simply had to blend their uplifting and euphoric sound into the mix, creating a moment of pure transcendence. "Sun In Your Eyes" is a testament to Above & Beyond's ability to craft emotionally charged music that resonates deeply with their audience.

Garden Of Peace by Power Circle

The mix continues to evolve with a new Yotto remix of the classic "Garden Of Peace" by Power Circle. This classic progressive house anthem has stood the test of time, originally released in the early '90s. Power Circle, a collaboration between influential producers such as Robert Miles and Clivillés & Cole, delivers a timeless masterpiece that still captivates dancefloors today. With a classic hook and vocal from my early DJing days this pays homage to the roots of electronic music with this iconic track.

Citylanes Airplanes by Mango

"Mango takes us on a vibrant and uplifting journey with "Citylanes Airplanes." The Russian DJ and producer has carved out a niche for himself with his melodic and emotive sound. "Citylanes Airplanes" is a perfect example of Mango's ability to create immersive sonic landscapes that transport listeners to imaginary worlds. I included this track to inject a sense of joy and euphoria into the mix.

Santorini by Spencer Brown, Fingerprint

Spencer Brown and Fingerprint make a second appearance in the mix with "Santorini." This collaboration showcases their exceptional synergy as producers, combining intricate melodies, pulsating rhythms, and a touch of Mediterranean flavour. "Santorini" captivates with its sunny vibes and infectious energy, making it a standout moment in the mix.

Viridian by Shahin & Bench

The mix reaches its climax with "Viridian" by Shahin & Bench. Shahin & Bench, a dynamic duo hailing from Germany, deliver a progressive trance masterpiece that hits all the right notes. "Viridian" is a high-energy track driven by mesmerising piano melodies, euphoric builds, and a beautiful bassline. Adding this track creates a euphoric finale that I’m hoping will leave listeners craving more.
